Joma K Jose

Joma K Jose is a Mental Health Professional at Shalom Institute of Mental Health and Research (SIMHAR), bringing with her a compassionate approach and valuable experience in counselling and psychosocial support. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling from Mentex School of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Calicut.

Prior to joining SIMHAR in April 2025, Joma has served in diverse therapeutic settings, including Bethlehem Abhaya Bhavan, Koovappady, Punarjani De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, Poomala, Thrissur, and Ryan International School, Cochin, where she worked as a counsellor. Her experience spans across clinical, rehabilitation, and school-based environments, supporting individuals with emotional, behavioural, and addiction-related challenges.

Joma’s dedication to mental health care, along with her specialised training in child and adolescent counselling, makes her a valuable part of SIMHAR’s multidisciplinary team focused on holistic healing and recovery.

With two years of professional experience as a mental health professional, Varna brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to her work. Her academic background and hands-on experience enable her to support individuals navigating emotional, psychological, and social challenges, while also contributing to the smooth delivery of clinical services at SIMHAR.
