Rev. Jacob Pattasseril

Jacob Kurian Pattasseril serves as Chaplain , Family & Marriage Counsellor at SIMHAR, offering reflective guidance and emotional support to individuals navigating mental health and personal challenges. With over two decades of experience in counselling, care, and psychosocial support, he brings a well-rounded approach rooted in compassion and professionalism. His academic credentials include a Master of Theology in Counselling from FFRRC, Kottayam; a Diploma in Counselling Psychology and Care from TMA Institute of Counselling, Kottayam; a Master of Arts in Mission and Development Practice from Martin Luther Christian University, Meghalaya; a Bachelor of Divinity from Faith Theological Seminary, Adoor; a Bachelor of Theology from GFABS, Tiruvalla; and a Bachelor of Arts in History from CMS College, Kottayam.

Before joining SIMHAR in January 2025, he served as Faculty and Dean of Practical Ministry at Olive Theological Institute, Tiruvalla, and has contributed extensively to the fields of de-addiction counselling, supervised psychotherapy, and community-based support services across India. His published writings and practical engagements reflect a deep commitment to holistic care and human well-being.
